A. Gifts made through the IWK Care Catalogue are donations that support IWK Health via our Urgent Priorities Fund. The values, services, equipment and programs described in this catalogue are representations of the IWK's programs and of items supported by funding to the Urgent Priorities Fund.
A. All online transactions to the IWK Care Catalogue are done through a secure server. This means that information entered on the transaction page is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) before transmission. On secure pages, a "closed" lock symbol is displayed at the bottom part of your browser screen and the website address in the bar at the top of the browser screen starts with an "https" instead of an "http". Donation pages are verified by GeoTrust and transactions are processed using a Blackbaud Merchant Services (BBMS) account.
A. Before you proceed to the checkout, you will be asked whether you would like to add a donation during the checkout stage. You have a choice to input any amount.
A. No. Your purchase is a donation to the IWK Foundation and therefore no tax is charged.
A. When you make a purchase through the IWK Care Catalogue, you are making a donation to the IWK Foundation. Once you have completed your online order, we will send you an order confirmation email that includes your tax receipt. The tax receipt is issued to the individual that purchases the gift, not the gift recipient.
